TOP TALENT
The World's Top 50 restaurants, sponsored by San Pellegrino, is the biggest international competition of its kind, with winners including the now famous Noma in Denmark.
Now the sparkling beverages company is hosting the San Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 - set to find the best young chef on the planet. Excitingly, three Auckland chefs have made it through to the Pacific region finals being held in Melbourne this weekend. Thomas Hishon of Orphans Kitchen, Xin Jing of Cocoro and William Mordido of Chikos will go up against seven other finalists.
One winner will then compete with the winners of 19 other regions around the world in Milan in June. With the competition attracting 3000 global applicants, the pressure will be on to stand out in the kitchen. The Pacific winner will be announced next Monday.
