AN ADMIRABLE CHALLENGE
As Live Below The Line's five-day challenge proves, it is possible to live off $2.25 worth of food a day for five days, which may seem outrageous to those more fortunate than the 1.4 billion people living in extreme poverty. Get behind this worthy event, from October 6-10, and commit to the challenge yourself. You'll raise essential money for local charities and learn some essential tools for cutting back in the process.
A FRESH CATCH
"Fresh fish and chunky chips" is new Hillsborough takeaway spot The Chipper's specialty. Next door to sweet-smelling Bluebells Cakery, the space boasts a far slicker fit-out than your average fush 'n' chup joint, with star menu additions including a panko-crumbed fish burger, fresh fish cakes and thickshakes made with a healthy slug of nostalgia.
