Lingerie makes the perfect gift for intimates - granted you get her sizing correct - but pretty underpinnings with a fashionable bent will earn extra brownie points this Christmas.
Lonely, the lingerie line from local label Lonely Hearts, has released a very cool mint coloured version of their 'Cyd' bra ($85, pictured above), to mark being sold in the cult US boutique Opening Ceremony. Their soft cup bras are particularly popular, but the introduction of underwire this season means the lingerie works for more shapes and sizes, with a DD cup available.
Stella McCartney's sought-after lingerie is now available at The Dressing Room at Takapuna's The Department Store (and online here), while luxury French brand Chantelle is being sold in Smith & Caughey's extensive lingerie department.
Other designer lingerie to look for? Ingrid Starnes' silk 'Henrietta' slip and Kate Sylvester's lace detailed soft-cup 'Loella' bra will cater to vintage tastes, and pieces from Araks - worn by the likes of Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams - will speak to the woman who likes to keep things elegant and simple.A small selection of classic pieces are available from Everyday Needs.
