The Block NZ former properties have all grown in value well above the minimal profits reaped by contestants in the latest season of the reality TV show.
All of the Northcote properties in the 2017 season saw a jump in new rateable value (RV) of between $390,000 to $400,000 following Auckland Council's release of its latest valuation figures - albeit still short of the $1.3m plus it was touted they would sell for this year.
Meanwhile contestants only made between $1,000 to $30,000 in profits, with properties, for the first time in the series' six-year history struggle to meet reserves at auction.
Of the four homes on Potter's Ave only one hit the $1.3m mark. Others sold for $1.277m, $1.24m and $1.25m.
The latest valuations also fell short of $1.3m, despite considerable growth seeing the sub-million dollar properties tip over the $1m mark.
