A call of nature has led to a Wanganui cricketer being charged with bringing the game into disrepute.
Cricket Wanganui has received a letter of complaint from the Wanganui High School team over an incident where a Tech Old Boys player allegedly relieved himself on the outfield at Victoria Park on Saturday.
A former Wanganui representative player who witnessed the incident said it was "terrible''.
"I agree with High School making the complaint,'' he said. "I've seen players go behind the trees, but I've never seen anything like that before.''
Cricket Wanganui chairman Stu Gill is investigating the complaint and will meet with both the player and Tech club captain Ben Campion this evening.
