This is how you get elected President of the United States. The other day 25 temps from Auckland's Personnel Solutions received a signed letter from President Bill Clinton thanking them for helping out a besieged US Consulate during Apec.
"Your attention to detail and your work with the advance staff helped to ensure a successful event," the President wrote.
"I am aware of the hours and energy required to prepare for such a trip, and I deeply appreciate your efforts."
The temps met people arriving at the airport, arranged accommodation, provided information and advice on local facilities, and generally supported the consulate's office.
While the temps know that Mr Clinton did not really sign each letter individually, they are still going to frame them.
