A 36-year-old man died at his Thames home after being found unconscious this morning, police say.
A scene examination is underway and a post-mortem examination is being carried out to establish whether the death is suspicious.
Eastern Waikato area manager of investigations, Detective Senior Sergeant Graham Pitkethley said the man was found unconscious by other residents soon after 8am.
An ambulance was called but he died at the scene.
"At this point the 36-year-old's passing is being treated as an unexplained sudden death and will continue to be treated as such until evidence to conclude otherwise is available," Mr Pitkethley said.
