Thai woman named as person killed in Southland crash on SH6 near Winton

Two people were critically injured following the two-vehicle crash on Thomsons Crossing on Winton Lorneville Highway.

Police can now release the name of the person who died following a two-vehicle crash near on State Highway 6 near Winton, Southland, last week.

She was Thachawalai Youngdaeng of Thailand.

“Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this difficult time. Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” police said.

Two people were critically injured following the two-vehicle crash on Thomsons Crossing on Winton Lorneville Highway about 5.40pm on January 21.
