Anyone who receives four or more text messages from bullies can now complain to police.
The bully will be sent a warning to stop the harassment or face having their phone cut off.
The strategy was launched in Auckland yesterday by NetSafe, the Internet Safety Group, police, Telecom and Vodafone.
