Wairarapa-Bush rugby players who fancy their kicking skills have a chance to represent their union in Air New Zealand's "Biggest Boot" competition - and win a trip to Twickenham to watch the All Blacks take on England on December 1.
Preliminary rounds of the Wairarapa-Bush "kick-off" will get under way at Memorial Park, Masterton, on Saturday, October 6, at 12.15pm, the top five performers having a second chance to strut their stuff at the halftime break in the Wairarapa-Bush v North Otago Heartland championship match.
And whoever kicks the ball furthest from a tee will go forward to meet the other 25 provincial winners at a national final to be held at Air New Zealand's engineering base at Christchurch Airport on Sunday, October 14.
Sponsors will also fly in a planeload of supporters on the All Black 777-300 and the finalists will be set the assignment of kicking the 73m length of that aircraft - or further if they can.
The national winner will receive return airfares for two from New Zealand to London, accommodation for three nights in London on a double or twin-share basis, access to the All Blacks captain's run at Twickenham the day before the test, two tickets to the New Zealand v England test at Twickenham on December 1 and two Air NZ European Tour All Blacks training shirts.
