Three tertiary institutions have applied to the Tertiary Education Commission to raise fees above the 5 per cent fee maximum next year.
Massey University, Dunedin College of Education and Christchurch College of Education have applied for an exemption to raise their fees between 5 and 10 per cent.
Massey is requesting 10 per cent.
Waikato University raised its fees 3.42 per cent.
