Tennis: Erakovic beats American

Marina Erakovic dug deep yesterday for a second-round victory over American Jill Craybas at the Edgbaston Classic women's tennis tournament in England.

Erakovic beat Craybas 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the next round where she will meet fifth seed Sara Errani of Italy.

Earlier, she eliminated 11th-seeded Hungarian Melinda Czink 7-5, 6-4 as she continues preparing for Wimbledon, which starts on June 21.
