Ten cool cocktails to try this week

Toast summer with new offerings and never-fail classics. Our pick of the bunch?

1. The Mexican Cobbler, one of Bedford Soda & Liquor's new summer creations. Combines Appleton's rum with fresh pineapple, honey, lemon and tiki spiced bitters.

2. The tantalisingly titled Mr President from Clooney's new offering Bar Clooney - a mix of Belvedere, Domaine de Canton, fresh grapefruit, St Germain and hibiscus.

3. For a weekend brunch with a bang hit up the Bloody Good Mary from Orphans Kitchen's new brunch menu.

4. Anything from the cocktail menu at The Sugar Club. Try the Madame Tallien (vodka, syrah-poached strawberry, mint and black pepper) or the Thomas Keller (bourbon, blueberry verjus, sauvignon blanc and mint).

5. The Crew Club's Spinnaker, for a well-priced waterfront toast to summer - sparkling wine with framboise and pomegranate seeds.

6. Cassia's Cucumber Cooler, just as the name suggests. With vodka, St Germain, ginger, lime juice and cucumber juice.

7. Scarlett Slimms and Lucky's speciality gin cocktails include the gin fizz - gin, fresh lime, orange blossom, sugar and soda.

8. The daily punch at Golden Dawn changes daily for a tasty slice of hipster-ville.

9. Xuxu's chilli and rosemary margarita (tequila, triple sec, hibiscus liqueur, rosemary, chilli and lime) - the perfect mix of sweet and spicy.

10. For a mocktail with a flavour kick, try The Blue Breeze Inn's daily fruit punch, made with fresh sugarcane juice.
