KEY POINTS:
Problems that left thousands of Telecom customers without email access last week are disappointing, says Communications Minister David Cunliffe, and he is pleased the company is looking at some form of compensation.
The minister received a report from Telecom yesterday on the failure that left some users without email for six days after an upgrade to the Yahoo!Xtra Bubble service.
Mr Cunliffe says he understands customers' frustration. "It is disappointing when a major provider such as Telecom leaves many thousands of customers without access to their accounts."
He says Telecom has assured him most customers' email was working again by the end of last week.
