Three teenagers suffered burn injuries late tonight when a fire broke out in a car they were in.
They escaped unaided from the vehicle, in the backyard of a property in Semple St, Huntly, around 10.45pm, said Fire Service spokesman Scott Osmond.
"They were not trapped in it [the car] or anything; they got out safely. In fact, our guys were there putting the fire out before they were even aware that there were some children hurt," Mr Osmond said.
The extent of their injuries was not yet clear, but it was likely they would be taken to hospital for treatment, he said.
