- Police spotted two vehicles of interest on the Southern Motorway at Greenlane early this morning.
- Drivers of both vehicles fled police, one crashing into another motorist soon after, the second abandoning their vehicle on the Southern Motorway after being spiked by police.
- Four teens have been arrested - two after being tracked by a police dog - and will be referred to Youth Services.
Four teens have been arrested after fleeing police in Auckland in two separate vehicles early this morning, one crashing into another motorist - who then needed to be taken to hospital - and the second running from their spiked vehicle on the Southern Motorway.
Police spotted two vehicles of interest travelling in tandem and then exiting the Southern Motorway at Greenlane about 2.55am, a police spokeswoman said.
“The vehicles were signalled to stop, however, they fled from police and were not pursued.
“One of the vehicles subsequently crashed into another vehicle on Great South Rd.”
