Two teens have been charged after a botched ram raid in Whanganui this morning saw a vehicle roll down a hill into a tanker.
The 14-year-old and 16-year-old allegedly fled the scene with "a small amount of chocolate," police said.
Police received reports about a stolen vehicle about 5am, shortly before alarms went off at a BP station on Taupo Quay.
Upon arrival at the petrol station two minutes later, police found the stolen vehicle with significant damage.
The BP station's shop front was also damaged.
