Thirty teenagers have been nabbed allegedly trying to use fake IDs to get into Hawke's Bay bars.
The arrests are part of a police crackdown on young people using forged identification to enter licensed premises around the area.
Sergeant Michael Stevenson says dozens of fake identification cards have been collected and the forged ones are very easy to spot.
He warns young people are getting criminal convictions for the sake of a drink and they need to realise the risk is too great.
