Two South Canterbury teens have been arrested following a two-night shooting spree with BB guns.
The pair, aged 16 and 17, allegedly caused thousands of dollars of damage in Geraldine, Pleasant Point and Timaru over two nights last week.
A pellet was also fired from a moving car, hitting and injuring a 14-year-old girl.
"Quite a few thousands of dollars of damage was caused," Senior Constable Mike Stephens told the Southland Times.
"We're talking large windows, one ... cost $1250 to replace."
Mr Stephens said two gas-powered BB pistols were recovered and the teens were likely to be charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and wilful damage.
