Teens airlifted to hospital after quadbike crash

Two teenagers were airlifted to hospital after their four-wheeled motorbike went over a bank and fell 10 metres before crashing onto rocks.

Police said the accident happened on Kererengu Valley Rd, near Kaikoura at 8.15am yesterday.

The two women were flown to Wellington Hospital where they have been treated for fractures.

The police are investigating the cause of the crash.
