Two teenage girls had to be rescued from the Manukau Harbour after drifting too far on an inflatable swan this morning.
The girls were blown about 1.5km off-shore from the Awhitu Regional Park, in southwest Auckland, and had to be rescued by boat.
And in another incident also this morning, two people were assisted from the water when their inflatable pool toy overturned, near the Bayswater Marina, on Auckland's North Shore in the Waitemata Harbour.
Only one of the two people were wearing a personal floatation device.
Police are concerned for the safety of people using inflatable water toys.
