Teenager's charges reviewed

Police will decide next week whether to lay more serious charges against a teenager over the death of a 19-year-old during a scuffle outside a Whangarei nightclub on Sunday.

Anaru Haki Tamihana, of Whangarei, died about 5.30am outside the Danger Danger nightclub in Vine St.

Police have charged Whare Junior Pitman, 19, with assault.

Inspector Paul Dimery said any further charges would not be revealed until Monday, when Pitman was due to reappear in Whangarei District Court.
