A teenage male is in hospital with critical head injuries after falling off a cliff in Devonport.
The accident happened at Stanley Point last night, thought to be around 11pm.
The idyllic North Shore suburb is one of the most affluent areas in the country with many multimillion-dollar homes.
Many residences on Stanley Point Rd feature clifftop views of Auckland CBD and the Hauraki Gulf.
The area also features a small scenic lookout where a picket fence protects people from the edge of the cliff.
