KEY POINTS:
A teenage boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a car near Onekaka, west of Takaka.
The 15 year-old was crossing State Highway 60 with his sister at about 6pm last night when he was hit.
He was flown to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition.
Sergeant Rob Crawford said the driver was cooperating with police.
