A teenage boy has died in hospital and another person is in a serious condition after a crash in Rongotea this afternoon.
The crash involved two vehicles and occurred about 2pm on State Highway 1.
A police spokesman said one other peson was injured in the crash and is in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
