An Auckland teenager has admitted multiple charges of manslaughter six months after a police chase was called off moments before three people died.
In Auckland District Court today David Time, 19, admitted the manslaughter deaths of Joe Ah-Kiau, 33, Amber Baddock, 21, and a member of his own family, Faafetai Time, 17, by dangerous driving in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill on December 18.
Time, an unemployed painter, admitted driving a car in which Faafetai Time was a passenger when it was chased by police.
The chase lasted 75 seconds before speeds reached 100km/h and a police inspector ordered it to be called off because it was too dangerous.
