A teenager has been arrested after he was seen brandishing a machete on a cycleway in Nelson south.
A 17-year-old male was charged with possession of a knife following the incident this afternoon.
"No one was threatened," a police spokeswoman said.
The man is due to appear in the Nelson District Court on January 4.
