Within a period of five days police twice stopped Featherston teenager Tommy-Darryl Walker, alleging he was drink driving.
Police said the 19-year-old was stopped in Masterton on July 13 and blew a reading of 400mcg of alcohol per litre of breath.
The limit is zero for a driver under 20. Then on July 18 Walker was stopped by police in Carterton allegedly with an alcohol reading of 185mcg. The adult drink driving limit is 400mcg. Walker is due in court on Thursday July 31 to plead to the charges.
