A Far North teenager is due to be sentenced today for murdering an elderly Kaitaia woman in a brutal home invasion last year.
Unemployed Kaitaia teenager Jameel Job, 17, pleaded guilty in August to murdering semi-retired teacher Barbara Julian, 70.
The admission came after he had been declared mentally fit to plead.
Mrs Julian was found dead in her house on November 4 after what police said had been a brutal home invasion.
Job is due to be sentenced in the High Court at Whangarei today.
