An 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while she was walking near central Wellington, police say.
The attack happened on Buckle Street near the National War Memorial about 1.30am on Sunday, Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ferguson said.
A scene examination was done in the area and several items had been seized.
