An 18-year-old man was flown to hospital after sustaining serious burns to his arms and legs near Waihi Beach this evening.
The Hamilton man was injured while adding petrol to a fire at Athenree.
St John Ambulance staff were first on the scene. They alerted the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter about 6pm before taking the man to a nearby sportsfield where he was picked up and flown to Waikato Hospital.
