KEY POINTS:
A teenager who stabbed her toddler son has been found guilty of attempted murder by a jury in the High Court at Hamilton.
Their verdict came yesterday after a four-day trial in which the Crown alleged Kim Knoll, 19, attempted to murder her two-year-old son Lashawn at her Te Aroha home on May 5 with a boning knife.
She had stabbed him in the stomach and then tried to suffocate him with a pillow, the Waikato Times reported today.
Knoll was remanded in custody for sentencing in February.
