Teen killed in farm bike crash named

Police have released the name of a teenager who died following a head on collision between his farm bike and a Toyota Surf near Tokoroa last Monday.

Tyler John Murray, 16, from Hamilton, died in Waikato Hospital on Friday.

Police investigating the crash said it appeared Tyler was riding on the wrong side of a gravel section of Jack Henry Road when he collided with the Toyota Surf on a blind bend.

He suffered serious head and leg injuries and was airlifted to hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
