A teenager will appear in the Hamilton District Court today charged with the murder of a 38-year-old man.
Sedrick Tiatia was killed at an address in the suburb of Chartwell on Tuesday afternoon.
A 19-year-old was arrested and charged with murder after handing himself into south Auckland police yesterday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson is hopeful a post-mortem examination to take place in Auckland will tell police how Mr Tiatia died.
He says despite the arrest police are still searching a number of properties and a vehicle as they build their case.
