A 14-year-old teenager has been charged with a raft of driving offences after a crash in Masterton that claimed the lives of two 15-year-old males on Sunday morning.
The Featherston boy appeared in Masterton District Court this morning charged with driving while forbidden, failing to stop for police and unlawfully gets in to a stolen motor vehicle.
He was remanded to the custody of Child, Youth and Family and was due to re-appear on February 11.
Police said further charges may follow.
Acting Wairarapa Area Commander Senior Sergeant Mike Sutton expressed his condolences to those affected by the deaths on Sunday.
