A teenage driver accused of killing two people in a crash that critically injured two others has been declined bail.
The 17-year-old appeared by audio-visual link in the Dunedin Youth Court this afternoon after the crash at Waihola on Saturday, which killed two women.
He was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two of dangerous driving causing injury.
Police opposed bail at today's hearing.
The teen's lawyer requested an adjournment without plea, saying the teen was injured in the crash. He would be staying with family and would not have access to a car.
