A teenager has been critically injured after being hit by a car in central Auckland.
Police said they received a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car on Greenlane East at around 11.50pm.
"One person was critically injured and remains in hospital," a police spokeswoman said.
The Herald understands the injured person is a 19-year-old teenager.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
