A Dunedin teenager who allegedly ran over two people with his car has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon.
The 19-year-old man was allegedly assaulted, before he got into his car, and went looking for the men and allegedly ran them over on Cumberland St, Sergeant Tony Ritchie of Dunedin police told NZPA.
Both suffered minor injuries.
The teenager was arrested yesterday in relation to the February assault, Mr Ritchie said.
He was due to appear in Dunedin District Court on March 17.
