A teenaged girl charged with the aggravated robbery of a Hawera bank has been remanded on bail until later in the month.
The 14-year-old appeared before a Justice of the Peace in the New Plymouth District Court today along with two men, aged 18 and 26.
The two men were remanded in custody.
The arrests follow the burglary of the Hawera ASB bank during which tellers were confronted by a burglar wearing a Catwoman mask, 1970s clothing and apparently carrying a firearm.
The offender allegedly got away with $12,000.
Senior Sergeant Mike Hannah, the officer in charge of the investigation, said the alleged offender was caught on the bank security camera carrying what turned out to have been an imitation firearm concealed under a piece of fabric.
