KEY POINTS:
A 17-year-old has died after falling off the boot of a moving car while "car-surfing".
The Huntly youth fell off the car on Wednesday afternoon and was rushed to Waikato Hospital, where he died yesterday.
Police said the youth had jumped on to the boot of a friend's vehicle but after a short distance he fell on to the road.
