An 18-year-old has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a relative with a broken light bulb in a Queenstown hotel on Sunday.
Detective Lisa Watt said a 21-year-old Saudi Arabian man was taken to Lakes District Hospital in the early hours of the morning with wounds to his torso and legs.
He was released several hours later.
Detective Watt said the wounds were caused by a broken light bulb from a large lamp in the hotel room.
She said an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and will appear in the Queenstown District Court next Monday.
