The teenager accused of fatally stabbing another woman at a Christchurch house party this month can be named for the first time today.
Name suppression for Katrina Epiha, 18, lapsed at the High Court in Christchurch this morning.
She has been charged with murdering Alicia Maree Nathan, also known as Alicia Maree Robinson, a 32-year-old mother-of-one, who died at an Avonhead Rd house on August 5.
This morning, defence counsel Trudi Aickin asked for Epiha, whose occupation is listed as a trainer, be remanded in custody without plea until September 29 as the lawyer had only just received "a large amount" of disclosure from police.
Aickin said a continuation of name suppression was not sought.
