A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing in Rotorua late last night.
Emergency services were called to an address on Clinkard Avenue shortly after 10pm, where they found an injured 16-year-old boy in the driveway.
He died at the scene despite resuscitation attempts.
Police had spoken to numerous witnesses overnight and investigations would continue today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper said the 15-year-old boy has been charged with assault. The charge will be reviewed once the results of the post-mortem and preliminary scene examinations are known.
