A Southland teacher has been sentenced to four years' jail for having a sexual relationship with a student at his school.
Ben Harvey, 31, cried as he was sentenced at Gore District Court yesterday. He had earlier pleaded guilty to committing an indecent act and having sexual connection with the 15-year-old girl at Gore High School. His lawyer said Harvey was in love with the girl.
