Piri Weepu was making dinner with his two daughters last night when he was interrupted by a knock on his door by people asking for his blood.
But it was all above board - they were drug testers wanting a random sample.
Last night, the star All Black and new Blues recruit tweeted to his 42,000 followers: "Awesome getting dinner ready and the kids and boom knock knock drug testers are here ... Damn it! Come after ... Lol oh well. It's only bloods."
Auckland Rugby spokesman James Rigby said random drug tests were "fairly common" for its players.
Weepu has just made the move from Wainuiomata to Mt Roskill to play for the Blues after seven seasons with the Hurricanes.
