The man who died on a Te Awamutu footpath on Sunday night and whose death is being treated as a homicide has been named by police.
Anthony Robert Hallmond, 35, died at about 6.45pm following in altercation outside 51 North St.
The post-mortem which police believed would determine the cause
of the Te Awamutu man's death and the scene investigation were both completed today.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the altercation or have any information about is death to contact Te Awamutu Police on 07 872 0100.
Police have been speaking with Hallmond's family and they have been offered the help of Victim Support.
