A forensic examination into the sudden death of a 28-year-old Te Aroha woman has failed to determine what happened, police say.
The woman was found dead at a property on Stanley Ave at about 11.30am yesterday by emergency service staff.
Detective senior sergeant Graham Pitkethley of Waikato Police said a post-mortem examination had been carried out in Auckland today to try and establish the cause of the her death.
"However, this examination was inconclusive and we will now have to wait on the results of further forensic examinations including toxicology tests which are expected to take some time.
"At this point in time the woman's death remains an unexplained sudden death,'' he said.
