Taxi firm to lose licence

An Auckland taxi company will have its licence revoked after shutting up shop without explanation.

Andy Knackstedt, spokesman for Land Transport New Zealand, said Executive Taxis, which operates about 16 vehicles, had breached its licence by failing to offer a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week service when it closed.
