A man appeared in court today over the near-fatal stabbing of a south Auckland taxi driver last weekend.
In Auckland District Court Jason Rangimaria Harris, 31, a labourer, faced charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and aggravated robbery.
He allegedly stabbed Alexander Ershov, 23, six times during an attack in Mt Wellington, south Auckland, about 11.40pm on Friday.
Harris was remanded in custody to reappear early in February for a pre-depositions hearing.
