A Taupo woman taxi driver allegedly abused by TV3 sports anchor Clint Brown during a drunken spree in the town has told the television channel she is unhappy with an apparent letter of apology.
Brown was suspended by TV3 soon after the incident on September 13 when he allegedly abused Mere Wall.
Ms Wall said after the incident last week she had wanted a written apology.
"We got one last week," she said. But she was not happy with it and had written back to TV3.
NZPA understood the letter was unsigned.
Ms Wall would not comment on what the apology said. "We have decided not to (comment on the letter's contents) and I have written to TV3 and that is it," she said.
She admitted she made some very pointed comments about Brown soon after the incident.
"But it has gone on and on," she said.
TV3 spokesman Roger Beaumont said Brown was not back at work and there was no indication when he would return.
"The investigation is still continuing," he said. Mr Beaumont would not go into more detail of the incident today but said they would comment when the investigation had ended.
Police this week said they had not charged Brown.
Brown was put in hospital with a broken eye socket and concussion after he was reportedly bashed by the partner of a woman he was believed to have insulted during a night on the town.
